| Marie Channer Marie Channer is a renowned artist with over 20 years of experience. Marie’s distinctive style and quality of work have earned her a blue ribbon at the Boulder Art Show in both 2002 and 2003. In addition, Marie was honored with the People’s Choice at the Louisville National Show in 2002., and a second place ribbon in the Louisville Photography Show and most recently, she won best of show at the Gilpin County Art Gallery in Central City. Her work appeared at the Taos Portrait Exhibition in 2003. Marie’s unique approach evolved from her experience growing up in the Deep South where portraiture is a revered tradition and from her mother, a locally acclaimed artist who taught Marie the fundamentals. These idyllic life experiences and raising five children have given her the ability to make an emotional connection with her subjects that ensures the subject’s inner beauty and charm come across clearly in their portrait.
